Bauchi compensates land owners of state varsity land

N20 million has been paid by Bauchi State government to owners of the land acquired for the construction of the Faculty of Agriculture of the State University in Jama’are.‎

This was made known in a statement by the Head of Information and Public Relations of the university, Malam Isa Suleman.

According to him, the payment was made to the beneficiaries by the Chairman of Land Acquisition and Payment Committee of the university, Alhaji Mahmud Garba.

The exercise was held at the Jama’are local government secretariat.

The university commended the land owners, Jama’are Emirate Council as well as Jama’are local government council for their patience and support to the university.

The school also expressed gratitude to the Emir of Jama’are, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Wabi, for his support to the institution.

Responding, the emir expressed appreciation to the state government for the payment.

He also gave the assurance to continue to support the institution.
