Speaking with reporters at Mada after visiting the displaced people, the Deputy Governor of Zamfara, Malam Ibrahim Wakkala, appealed to the Federal Government to come to the rescue.

He expressed his dismay on the way the bandits rendered residents of the communities, particularly women and children homeless.

Wakkala said that a committee had been set up by the state government, to ascertain the level of damage caused by the bandits.

He pleaded with security agencies in the state to intensify efforts in tackling the activities of the bandits.
