The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akwa Ibom State, Ini Okopido, has condemned the attack on Senator Godswill Akpabio’s residence in Ukana, Essien Udim local government area of the state by unknown gunmen.
The Publicity Secretary of the party, Nkereuwem Enyiongekere, made the position of the chairman known in a statement he issued.
The gunmen were reported to have attacked the residence at about 7.30 pm on Sunday while “normal consultations with party leaders and stakeholders were ongoing at the private residence.”

Okopido warned that the APC family would not tolerate such unwarranted attack on any of her members or leaders.
He warned that such actions by unguided miscreants were unacceptable and condemnable.
He urged politicians to play by the rules to forestall reprisal attacks.
