The Nigerian Army has burnt five vehicles intercepted with foodstuff, spare parts and various provisions meant for Boko Haram terrorists in the North East.
Speaking to newsmen while supervising the burning of the vehicles along Maiduguri-Gubio road, on Saturday, the acting GOC 7 Division and Sector 1 Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Brig. Gen. Abdul Ibrahim, disclosed that four suspects were arrested in connection with the act.
According to him, the suspects and vehicles loaded with the items were arrested based on intelligence report adding that other suspects arrested in connection with such crimes were being investigated.

“We are going to sustain our monitoring efforts until we contain such supplies that are being taken to terrorists,” Ibrahim maintained.
The vehicles which were burnt along with the items included three pickup Van’s and two Peugeot station wagons.
