Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, were at Otoro wards, the home town of late Dr. Ime Umanah Wednesday to solicit their support in the forth-coming elections.

Led by Emmanuel Ekon, who is seeking re-election into the House of Representatives for the third term, the candidates paid homage to the village head of Otoro where they promised that the APC government would attract development to the Ward if elected into office.

They also stated that the Muhammadu Buhari-led government has performed very well in Akwa Ibom State by appointing illustrious sons and daughters of the state into important positions in his government while promising to do more if elected in the forth-coming presidential election.

The Candidates also implored people of the area to keep their Permanent Voters Cards safe and urged them to come out en masses to vote for all candidates of the APC.

According to them, the APC candidates to be voted for are President Muhammadu Buhari, Nsima Ekere, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Emmanuel Ekon and Barr. Victor Nkanang.

Speaking Sen. Akpabio, the former Minority Leader and former Governor of the state, who was represented by Mr. Emmanuel Inyangetor, thanked the people of the area for the massive turn up and urged all to vote for all APC candidates for quality representation.

Responding, Madam Nene Umanah assured the party delegation of total support, saying her people would vote massively for all the candidates.

She also applauded the candidates for deeming it fit to visit the people of the area assuring them that they would make sure their votes count.
