The result of the 67 years old Caucasian American woman that slumped and died in a hotel room in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta, on Sunday is out and turned out negative.
The Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye made this known in a statement made available to Journalists in Asaba
According to him the man suspected to be the deceased boyfriend also tested negative to the Coronavirus as samples from him and the deceased woman were taken for tests.
Recall that the lady’s boyfriend who took her corpse to the Orerokpe Police Station according to reports was taken to the Isolation Unit at the Central Hospital Warri, for fear that he could be carrying the virus.
Ononye advised residents to comply with government’s directives on precautionary measures to protect self from the disease stressing that this is the only way to contain the scourge.

Meanwhile, the Hausa Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state has begun to count their losses over COVID-19 lockdown in the state.
Speaking to Journalists in the area, the Secretary of Hausa Community the Ughelli/ Ogor modern market, Ibrahim Abubakar said “Since this lockdown our business has not been going on well and as you know most of us are business people that depend on what we sell before we eat.
“We are suffering, no palliative was given to us as a body or individuals, most of us are living in acute debts, we are not selling much, we are appealing to Government to reconsider us, we Hausa Community are part of Ughelli and Delta state.”
Abubakar lamented that over goods worth three hundred million naira were destroyed during the lockdown order, adding that “we cannot afford to feed or pay our bills and other things as we used to do, things are really difficult and the lockdown order affected us so much and hunger everywhere.”
