The Police Prosecutor, Ezekiel Ayorinde, told the court the defendant committed the offence in April in his residence.

He said that the defendant sexually assaulted the 17-year-old teenager.

Ayorinde alleged that the defendant tricked the boy who was hawking his goods into thinking that he would buy what he was selling.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that the section prescribes life imprisonment.
