The Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Akwa Ibom State is set to deliver judgment, in the petition filed by the APC candidate, Mr. Nsima Ekere against the victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

A statement issued by the Secretary of the tribunal said the The judgment will be delivered at 9.00am today, September 19.

Mr. Ekere of the All Progressives Congress had challenged the victory of Gov. Emmanuel in the last general elections on the grounds of gross non-compliance with the Electoral Act, INEC Guidelines and Manual for Election officers.

He named the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as co-respondent in the suit.

After adoption of Written addresses by all the parties in the petition, on September 10, the Tribunal had adjourned for judgment.
