Akpabio Urges Annang People To Support APC For The Completion Of Uncommon Transformation

The Campaign Organisation of the candidate for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Gubernatorial Campaign Council for Obong Akanimo Udofia and his running mate, Rt. Hon. Victor Antai, on Friday jointly consulted the traditional rulers of Essien Annang, in Essien Udim Local Government Area and asked for their blessings as the ward to ward tour of the senatorial district ended.

Speaking at the well attended rally, Senator Akpabio said that just like Jesus Christ appointed Judas Iscariot as one of his disciples, who later betrayed him, he also made a mistake in 2015 and admonished the people to forgive him, but continue to keep faith with him as one man, who is committed to the welfare and development of Akwa Ibom people.

The National Vice Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), disclosed that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Akwa Ibom has a lot to contend with noting that God has placed many obstacles against their victory at the forthcoming 2023 polls, adding, “it is time for Akwa Ibom people to be liberated from the shackles of misrule and poverty it had plunged the state into in the last eight years.”

He pledged to ensure that major and economically viable roads in the Senatorial district were given both national and local attention. He reminded the people of the local government that it was the turn of Essien Annang extraction of Essien Udim to produce the next State House of Assembly Member in 2023, disclosing that the APC therefore, in its wisdom, had given its ticket and support to a bonafide, committed and qualified son of Essien Annang, Hon. Uduak Etim Udom, for the position.
