The Afrika Shrine celebrated the legacy of the music legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, on Tuesday as it hosted the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
Among others, Femi, son of the Fela and Yemi Alade entertained the guests.
Hosted by Banky W and Kenturah King, the occasion was tagged ‘Celebration of African Culture.’
It was a well attended event, particularly with crowd drawn from the entertainment industry.
Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, welcome Macron and gave him a tour of the cultural landmark.
An excited Macron could not resist dancing to the music of Femi when he performed.

The performance by Yemi Alade was also fantastic.
The guests, including Macron applauded the brilliant performance.
Earlier in the day in Abuja, Macron described Afrika Shrine as a special place for Africans and their culture.
He said it was in recognition of that fact that he decided to visit Lagos.
Revealing that it was not his first time at the Afrika Shrine, Macron said he had fond memories of the place, having been in Nigeria in the past.
He however said he never thought he could return to Nigeria as a president.
