Adeoye: Find the killers, Fayemi charges Police

Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti on Thursday charged security agencies in the state to find the killers of the Treasurer of the state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Moses Adeoye, who was killed by gunmen at his Otun- Ekiti residence on Wednesday night.

The governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, directed all the security agencies in the state to ensure the killers were apprehended and brought to book.

He vowed to get to the root of the matter, saying that anyone found to be connected in any way with the killing would be dealt with decisively even as he pledged his administration’s commitment and support to the security agencies in ending the spate of assassinations and violence in the state.

The governor described the death of the party leader as “sad and devastating,” pledging government’s support for the family.

Fayemi condoled with late Adeoye’s family, assuring them of justice in the matter in a condolence message delivered to them by a high power delegation comprising the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji; Chief of Staff, Mr. Biodun Omoleye; and Alaba Abejide.

The Governor’s delegation also visited the Palace of Oore of Otun, Oba Adedapo Oladele Popoola and the party secretariat, where they also delivered the governor’s condolence message.

Late Adeoye, was the chairman of the APC in Moba Local Government before he became the state treasure in September.

He was said to have been shot dead in the presence of his family members.
