The Lagos State Government has presented Cheques to family members of those who lost their lives in the explosion which rocked Abule-Ado area of the state in March.
Recall that Lagos was shaken to its roots on March 15 following a pipeline explosion at Abule-Ado, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government area of the state which left no fewer than 23 people dead.
Among the dead were some students of a Catholic Secondary School, Bethlehem High School, and their principal, Rev. Sister, Henrietta Alokha who died trying to save some of her students.
Several buildings were also destroyed in the blast.

Recall also that the state government had immediately after the blast launched a N2 billion relief fund for the victims’ families.
On Wednesday, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, disclosed that the state has handed out Cheques to relatives of the victims of the incident.
“Today we presented cheques to the families of the 23 deceased victims of the Abule-Ado explosion. We hope the money will help provide some relief even as they miss their loved ones. We are also working with safety, power & other stake holders to find a lasting solution to issues,” he wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
