Preparatory to ward Congress of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Titus Uba has stressed the need for unity of purpose among the people of Mbakyaha council ward of Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.

Uba, who made the call at an expanded PDP stakeholders meeting in Vandeikya discouraged members of the party from forming groups and factions saying such will not attract development to the community.

He thanked the people of Mbakyaha for their support and solidarity to him as their son and appealed to them to display sense of maturity and love in electing PDP Ward party officials.

Responding, an elder of the party, Mr. Peter Iorsher acknowledged the humane disposition of the speaker, in handling the affairs of PDP in Mbakyaha council ward and Vandeikya in general and urged members of the party to always support their leaders to succeed.

Speaking on behalf of the youth and the women, Mr. Akor Nor and Dorathy Akpen both acknowledged the leadership style of the Speaker where he carries members of the party along in taking decisions and promised to continue to queue behind him.

Earlier, the immediate past PDP chairman of Mbakyaha council ward, Mr. Akumba Ortese thanked all members of the party for the support given them particularly the speaker Benue State House of Assembly Hon. Titus Uba, and assured that the immediate past Excos will continue to champion the agenda of the party to enable it win local government elections.

He appealed to members to elect members who have the interest of the party at heart.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the speaker, Mr. Lubem Tiav said the expanded meeting of the PDP resolved to share the elective positions to the political zones of the council ward and as well as remain committed to the party at all levels.
