President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation this morning to mark the country’s 59th independence anniversary celebration.

This was made known in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina on Monday.

The nationwide broadcast is part of activities marking Nigeria’s 59th independence anniversary celebrations.

The brief statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 7 am.

“Television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
