Barely 24 hours after opening its job application portal, the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has received over 90,000 applications for jobs.
Meanwhile, the Service has opening for 3, 200 jobs.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted one of the officers in charge of recruitment at the service headquarters in Abuja as saying as of 4pm on Wednesday, “the applications of 91,000 applicants were successfully received.”
The officer said they also received applications from Nigerians in diaspora.

Acting deputy comptroller-general in charge of human resources at NCS, Umar Sanusi, who announced the openings on Tuesday, said 800 persons would be recruited to fill vacancies in the support staff for superintendent cadre category, while 2,400 would fill those of customs inspector and customs assistant cadre in the general duty category.
He had also assured that “applications would be open to all eligible Nigerians who meet the requirements irrespective of their tribe, religion, state or any other consideration.”
The recruitment process will last for three weeks.
