Gov. Emmanuel Inaugurates Ibom Airlines Flight Operations

As part of the take off of Ibom Airlines operations, Akwa Ibom State Government will Wednesday take delivery of two aircrafts for the State-owned aviation company.

Governor Udom Emmanuel made the disclosure during a visit to former Governor of the state, Obong Victor Attah, in his Uyo residence, where he informed him of the successes recorded by the investment, while sharing thoughts on the development prospects of the Completion Agenda.

Gov. Emmanuel also informed him of the imminent arrival of two of the three aircrafts acquired for the state airlines, Ibom Air.

He said the aircrafts, which would soon commence commercial activities to Lagos and Abuja have landed in Lagos for necessary clearance from the aviation authorities.

While intimating the former governor of operations, Gov. Emmanuel said “Our planes are only six years old and comparatively very new aircrafts. No other state government in Nigeria has ever attempted it, which is why I say that it is God’s grace.”

Gov. Emmanuel also seized the opportunity to invite Obong Attah to the commissioning ceremonies of the airlines at the Airport.

Speaking the former governor commended Gov. Emmanuel for continuing with the vision he had for the aviation industry in the state.
