Following the announcement of the death of the 41st President of United States, George H. W. Bush, eulogies have been pouring in.

The elder statesmen was known for a lot, loved as well as hated.

The current president of the United States, Donald Trump and his family released a statement which in part read; “Along with his full life of service to the country, we will remember President Bush for his devotion to family – especially the love of his life Barbara.”

Former President Barack Obama, tweeted this of the late President; “America has lost a patriot and humble servant in George Herbert Walker Bush. While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude. Our thoughts are with the entire Bush family tonight – and all who were inspired by George and Barbara’s example.”

A letter he left in his office for incoming president, Bill Clinton was also shared. The letter was very poignant and showed his love for country despite the fact he was handing over to the opposition party.

“I wish you great happiness here” he said. “There will be very tough times made harder by criticism you will not think is fair… You will be OUR President when you read this note. I wish you well, I wish your family well.”

Others have also said good things of the President.

Nick Jack Pappas, Comedian and Activist also tweeted.

“George H.W. Bush signed into law the Hate Crime Statistics Act, the first federal statute to recognize gay, lesbian and bisexual people. He served in the military with honor. He was devoted to his wife for 73 years.”

Paul Begala, a political contributor and a counselor during the Clinton White House had this to say.

“Pres. George H.W. Bush led the quintessential life of service: in war and peace, politics and statesmanship. He was a “good and faithful servant” of his country, his family, and humanity. God bless his soul and his family.”
