Embattled Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, is in Abuja to see President Muhammadu Buhari.

His visit, a source said, had to do with the crisis over plan to stop his second term bid.

There is an increasing opposition to his second term bid and a new candidate is already enjoying the support of some key chieftains and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State.

A former commissioner in the state, Jide Sanwo-Olu, is already being supported to oust Ambode.

Ambode is said to have been disowned by the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
