Action Alliance (AA), one of the nation’s political parties, has said that its primaries for the 2019 general elections will commence on September 24, 2018 with the aspirants for the House of Representatives.
The party’s National Chairman, Barrister Kenneth Udeze, who disclosed this on Tuesday, said the House of Representatives primaries would be followed by those of the Senatorial District seats on September 26.
Udeze, who said the party’s aspirants, stakeholders and delegates, had been duly notified, stated that the two primaries would hold at the federal constituency and senatorial district headquarters of the party respectively at 11 a.m. on days.
He maintained that after the two primaries, those for the State House of Assembly, which had been scheduled for September 28, would follow at the various state constituencies headquarters across the country.

This, he added, would be followed by governorship primaries on October 2, 2018, in the 36 state capitals, while the presidential primary election would follow on October 5 at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Udeze informed that ratification and confirmation of all candidates for 2019 general elections by the party’s National Think Tank Committee (NTTC), would hold between October 6 and 7 at the party’s national headquarters, Abuja.
He also said that arrangements were being made for peaceful conduct of the primaries across the countries, even as he assured the aspirants and stakeholders that processes leading to the election of the party’s candidates would be free and fair.
According to him, “I assure everyone, including the aspirants, stakeholders, delegates and our teeming members of a level playing ground for all. We are putting finishing touches to all arrangements to ensure that no one would be short-changed.”
