It was gathered that at the end of the raid, he was taken away by the EFCC operatives.

It would be recalled that Ekpeyong’s successor, Lawal Daura, who was fired on Tuesday by the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, had prevented a raid of Ekpeyong’s house in 2017.

Operatives of the EFCC and the DSS had a confrontation at the time before it was stemmed.

The raid is coming barely two days after the sack of Daura.

It was gathered that the order for the raid which was by Osinbajo, was given after a meeting with the EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu and the new DSS boss, Matthew Seiyefa.
