They will be brought in by an Ethiopian Airline.

The action followed the directive by President Muhammadu Buhari to that effect.

The directive was issued on July 16.

”As at the last count, over 230 stranded Nigerians had been cleared to board an Ethiopian Airline flight to Abuja.

”The aircraft would depart Domodedovo Airport in Moscow with the stranded Nigerians at 08.30 hours  Friday,  July, 20th and arrive Abuja at 16.00 hours same day,” Elias Fatile said.

The ministry pointed out that 150 of Nigerians stranded in Russia were fans who travelled for the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament.

They were said to have been stranded owing to lack of funds.

Some also said some airlines’ travel agents cancelled their return ticket without informing them.
