Chief Imam of Senchi in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Alhaji Mode Senchi, who was kidnapped, has been released.

Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Kabiru, made this known on Sunday while addressing journalist in  Birnin Kebbi on Sunday.

According to Kabiru, the Chief Imam was in good health.

He added that he had been reunited with his family.

The Chief Imam was kidnapped on March 18.

The Commissioner of Police said Kabiru had once been kidnapped in 2017 and had to pay N13 million ransom before he was released.

He however said that this time around, no ransom was paid.

He said efforts were already going on to apprehend the kidnappers.

In a related development, the police boss said three suspected armed robbers were arrested on March, 28 with three locally made guns.

Meanwhile, the police boss advised parents to guardians to monitor their children closely whenever they send them on errand.
