The grand finale of the campus party organized by Unilever Nigeria Plc came to an end Wednesday with Michael Jubril emerging as the winner.

The University of Lagos Sports Complex was agog on Wednesday as it played host to the grand finale of the #CoolLikeThatLagos campus party.

The event saw notable artistes like Simi, Lax, Mayorkun, Humblesmith, Mr. Real, among others, join Mavin superstar, Reekado Banks on stage to thrill the audience.

Organised by Unilever Nigeria Plc, makers of Closeup Cool Breeze toothpaste, the #CoolLikeThat campus parties and music challenge ran through major universities across the country. Some of the universities included, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, University of Port Harcourt and University of Benin.

Speaking at the party, the Category Manager, Oral Care, Unilever Nigeria Plc, Told Salu, said the essence of the competition was to give the young ones the opportunity to pursue their dreams. “Closeup believes in giving young talents across Nigeria the opportunity to be themselves, follow their dreams and break barriers. It gives you confidence to act on your desires – to be the next big music superstar, rap artiste, or entrepreneur,” Salu said, adding, “this is why we organised the #CoolLikeThat campus parties across different cities to give an opportunity to young people to showcase their music talent to the world.”

Speaking also at the event, the #CoolLikeThatLagos Music Challenge winner, Michael Jubril, expressed his delight at the opportunity to showcase his rap talent to audiences across Nigeria. His words, “I am so happy for what Closeup is doing. They have shown beyond doubt that they are the go – to brand when it comes to breaking barriers and reaching beyond set boundaries. Tonight, I was able to perform on the same stage with Reekado Banks, and I cannot tell you how much this has gone to raise my confidence to do more.”
