There was tension in Asokoro area of Abuja on Tuesday over attempts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to arrest the former Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ayo Oke and the immediate past Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Ita Ekpeyong.

When the operatives of the EFCC stormed the residences of the two former top security chiefs, their efforts were resisted.

Security guards in the houses of the two men did not allow the EFCC operatives to effect the arrest.

The development led to heated argument.

It would be recalled that the EFCC is probing Ayo Oke over about N13 billion found in Osborne Towers in Ikoyi area of Lagos State.

The reports of the investigation into the case by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo-led panel led to the sacking of Ayo Oke.

EFCC has since started investigation into the matter.
