Boko Haram: Troops kill dozens of insurgents, rescue 6-year-old boy

Dozens of members of the terrorists group, Boko Haram, were killed in an ambush carried out by the military.

Also, the troops rescued a six years old boy.

The terrorists, according to a statement by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman, were attempting to cross over to Sambisa forest when they were attacked by soldiers.

Apart from those killed, many of them escaped with gun shot wounds.

The ambush carried out by 151 Battalion happened along Banki-Bula Yobe Road in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

Recovered items included eight bicycles, blankets, jerricans, plates, mats, spanners, cutlasses, clothes, and a pair of Boko Haram terrorists Special Forces uniform.
