Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar is the new chairperson of the Northern Governors’ Wives Forum, NGWF.
The new chairperson is the wife of Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar.
She emerged the chairperson at an election held by the wives of northern state governors at the Yankari Games Reserve in Bauchi.

No fewer than 12 northern governors’ wives were present at the occasion.
Speaking, Mrs. Abubakar said the NGWF was determined to tackle, among other things, the menace of domestic violence against women and incidence of drug abuse in the north.
