The Rivers Governor told Ayu that now that he has the opportunity to rescue Nigerians, he should get to work as this is the time to work.

“I am not here to praise you, no! The time to work has come and this is when we will know the experiences you have gathered and how you intend to use them to rebuild the PDP.

“It is not going to be easy for you but I must advise that the time to work has come and you must put down your experience and build the party to what it is supposed to be.”

He expressed the belief that investing in his Chairmanship will not lead to further depletion of members of the party both at the states and National Assembly but that he will use his experience to ensure that those who left come back to the party.

“Let your chairmanship lead to success of our party in 2023. Do not be distracted. Yes I supported you, voted for you but If you do not do the right thing, I will shout.

“Do not be distracted about who will be the presidential candidate of the party. Do not listen to those who want to kill the party with gossip. Do not allow the governors forum to be divided. If there is division anywhere, ensure unity so we can achieve victory in 2023,” Woke said.

He urged Senator Ayu to put up an outing that will produce a leadership he can be proud of and one that will pursue the evil called the APC.

In his remarks, Senator Iyorchia Ayu urged Nigrrians not lose hope because a small group of people has come to divide the nation.

Ayu who stated that Nigerians love themselves and are a productive people further urged the people not to allow the current leadership to destroy their resilient and determination promising that the PDP is back and will expand the economy of the nation to make Nigeria great again.

He said the PDP will mobilise all Nigerians especially the youths and women to take over power come 2023 adding that the party will fight tooth and nail to win the forthcoming Ekiti and Osun elections.

He thanked party members across the nation and those in the North central especially, for uniting to produce one single chairman playing to ensure a level playing ground for all party candidates.

Earlier, former senate president, Sen. David Mark, noted that the task before Ayu is a daunting one and urged the Benue people and the entire party members to support and pray for him to achieve success.

“What the nation has said to Benue is lead us to victory in 2023 and all Benue people are solidly behind you,” Mark said

The event was graced by PDP big wigs in the country namely former Senate President David Mark, PDP Presidential aspirant, Bukola Saraki, Senators Gabriel Suswam, Sen. Abba Moro, Governors of Enugu State, Delta State, among others.
