A Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, 24 Hours Road Accident Victims Support Initiative, has donated medical and non-medical items to an abandoned to a newborn baby in Makurdi, Benue State battling for survival.
Recall that some two weeks ago, a baby was picked up by a good Samaritan, Joy Kwaghtse along a foot path, while going to the farm, wrapped in a nylon bag, drenched by rain and bitten by soldiers ants.

The child was admitted at a private clinic where she has been receiving treatment.
Worried by the baby’s condition, the NGO donated items including, cloths, 100s of pampers, baby wipes, packs of bottled water, disinfectants, gloves, baby food and drugs.
Making the donation, Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Mr. Gaddafi Asemanya, berated the Ministry of Women Affairs for their lukewarm attitude and urged them to, as a matter of urgency, rise up to their responsibility and come to the assistance of the little baby.
“The Ministry should ensure that whoever will adopt this baby must follow due process. We laud the woman who picked her up for her courage as well as the management of Olive Children Health Center for the adequate medical attention given to the child.
“The State government should support the woman and ensure her safety. We also call on well meaning Nigerians and Benue indigenes to come to the aid of the baby”, he appealed.
