The Nigeria Centre for Disease control has confirmed 48 additional COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.

This brings the total number of infections across the country to 61,930.

No death was recorded on the day in review, according to the health agency, and so, death tally remains at 1,129.

It said however, that the number discharged from treatment facilities across Nigeria has risen to 57,285.

According to the NCDC, the 48 new cases are reported from five states and Abuja.

Details are as follows – Lagos (18), FCT (13), Kaduna (6), Rivers (5), Ogun (5) and Ondo (1).
