Plateau, Enugu, Rivers Record More COVID-19 Cases Than Lagos, As NCDC Confirms 252 More Cases

Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 252 additional cases of Coronavirus, pushing the total infections to 52,800.

Also, three deaths were recorded, thus raising the total number of fatalities to 1007.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which announced the figures on its verified Twitter handle, a total of 39,964 cases have been successfully managed and discharged across the country as at Tuesday, August 25.

Topping the new infections table were Plateau, Enugu and River.

The new cases, the NCDC said, were reported from 17 states and Abuja as follows: Plateau (50), Enugu (35), Rivers (27), Lagos (26), FCT (18), Kaduna (18), Ekiti (10), Kano (10), Taraba (9), Anambra (8), Edo (8), Oyo (8), Delta (7), Ogun (6), Abia (5), Bayelsa (5), Ebonyi (1), Osun (1)
