The United States Government on Tuesday handed over about 200 ventilators to the Nigerian government to help in the management and treatment of Coronavirus in the country.
The items were presented by the U.S Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Bert Leonard at the Abuja Premier Medical Warehouse.
The donation is comes four months after President Donald Trump’s administration promised to support the country with ventilators as the Federal Government battles the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the world.

Trump’s promise followed a telephone conversation he had with President Muhammadu Buhari on April 28.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, who disclosed this during a briefing said the call which was at the request of the American President had centred on Nigeria’s efforts in tackling the coronavirus pandemic.
