The former acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Ms Gbene Joy Nunieh, was on Monday berated over allegation that the Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio, sacked her for refusing to take oath of secrecy.

Nunieh, who reportedly described Akpabio as a pathological liar in an interview, added that the minister wanted to compel her to swear to an oath of secrecy and loyalty.

Reacting to the allegation, the South-South Buhari Anti-Corruption Group, told Nunieh that her sack was from the presidency and had nothing to do with Akpabio.

The group, in a statement by its president, Imafidon Peter Odion, said her sack was based on findings against her, adding that the minister did not influence her sack.

Recall that Akpabio had reportedly said that Nunieh was sacked because she did not perform up to expectation by paying unverified contracts money running to billions of naira.

The group said that findings had shown that there were so many inconsistencies and misappropriations in the activities of NDDC when she acted as managing director.

The group said it was unfortunate that Nunieh would pour venom on the minister, when in actual sense, she was the architect of her misfortune.
