The leadership of Ovu Development Union (ODU), Ovu community, Agbon clan, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment of Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh as Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun.

The Union also extended their appreciation to Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege.

The union also commended the outgone Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akaehomen Okonigbon lbhadode, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Prof. Shehu Zuru, and others on the appointment of Rim-Rukeh.

The union, in a statement by its President General, Chief Pius Idoghor, First Vice PG, Chief John Omoware, and Secretary-General, Chief (Dr.) Emmanuel E. Oniyama, on behalf of the Ovu Council of Chiefs and Elders and the entire Ovu community, congratulated Rim-Rukeh on his new appointment.

The union expressed explicit confidence that Rim-Rukeh’ new assignment would attract meaningful development and academic excellence to the great institution, considering his pedigree.
