The total number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Lagos State is now 1,118.
Of the 2,802, cases in the country Lagos accounts for 1,118 leaving 33 other states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to share the remaining 1,684 cases.
Meanwhile, Kogi and Cross River States have so far been spared from the deadly virus.
Kano State which appeared on the list of COVID-19 infected states only recently is second worst hit.
As at Monday, May 4, the state has 365 confirmed cases, though many have expressed the opinion that the figure could be higher given the number of unexplained deaths in state in the last few weeks.

The FCT is following as the third worst affected with 297 cases. It had initially followed Lagos as the second worst affected area before Kano came on board and overtook it.
Meanwhile, there are fears that the numbers may rise in the coming weeks following the partial lifting of the lockdown in parts of the country.
Many Nigerians who stepped out of their homes for the first time in five weeks on Monday, blatantly disregarded social distancing and wearing of face masks rules as they rushed to banks and clustered at bus stops.
The Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Monday warned that it might lockdown the country again if the COVID-19 figures were to spike following disorderly and chaotic behaviour of Nigerians.
