President Muhammadu Buhari will soon forward a letter to the National Assembly indicating his resumption of duties, his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has said.

Mr. Adesina, who made this known on Monday while featuring on the Sunrise Daily Show on Channels Television, said his principal is ready to serve the country to the best of his ability.

He, therefore, urged Nigerians to believe the worse is over and Mr. Buhari is hale and hearty.
The presidential aide who spoke shortly after the president’s live broadcast to the nation said the government is committed to uplifting the state of the country

Particularly, he said the president will initiate action to revamp healthcare services in the country, adding that Monday’s nation-wide broadcast is the first in a series of steps to be taken by the government.

“This broadcast is just a first step. There will be many more steps after it. So, if that didn’t come up, I’m sure that as we go forward the president will talk about the state of health care in the country,” Mr. Adesina said.
He explained that the administration is poised to deliver on its electoral promises, noting that efforts are in place to ensure that change is brought to bear on all aspects of the economy.

Mr. Adesina said the government is considering restructuring and drew attention to what the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Onyegun, said on the matter.

“The national chairman of the party (APC) has said restructuring is one of the things the party will do but it is not in the order of priority for now,” he continued.

“The priorities are, securing the country, reviving the economy, and fighting corruption.”

He reiterated the administration’s stand on the unity of the country in the face of ongoing agitations for secession by some groups.

Mr. Adesina said the government is determined to deal with any threat to the unity of the country, adding that President Buhari will not broker any threat to the corporate existence of the nation.

He also insisted that the Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo, implemented the agenda of the government while he acted as the president.
