Access Bank Plc, has emerged winner in five categories of the 2018 Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards, SERAs.

At the just-concluded CBN Sustainability Awards held on 8 December, 2018, the bank went away with the awards in various categories, recognising its contribution to – not only different industrial sectors – but also in the development of efficient programmes for all citizens, especially women.

The award categories won by the bank include: Sustainable Bank of the Year, which it won in 2017; Sustainable Transaction of the year, Oil and Gas, also won in 2017; Sustainable Transaction of the year, Power Sector, where it emerged a first-time winner and the first bank to win in the category.

Other categories are: Excellence in Women Economic Empowerment, which it also won in 2017 and Sustainable Transaction of the year, Agriculture Sector, where it came second place.

The CBN Sustainability Awards – a part of the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principle, NSBP, initiated in 2012, is an award that appreciates the efforts of financial service providers who have been able to successfully integrate social and environmental considerations into their operations, spanning across their processes and strategies.
