The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday reported 310 new COVID-19 infections just as it discharged 183 persons who had recovered from the disease.
The health agency announced the figures in its daily update published on Saturday night on its website.
According to the update one death was recorded on the day in review.
The NCDC reported that out of the 183 discharges, 128 were community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.

The update read: “On the 5th of December 2020, 310 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria.
“Till date, 68,937 cases have been confirmed, 64,650 cases have been discharged and 1,180 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“The 310 new cases are reported from 12 states- FCT (128), Lagos (86), Kaduna (26), Katsina (20), Rivers (19), Oyo (7), Benue (5), Edo (5), Jigawa (5), Ogun (5), Bayelsa (2) and Kano (2).”
