Three men- John Adebayo, Joshua Moses and Ganiyu Qudus, who allegedly stole an iPhone worth N400, 000, on Tuesday appeared before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
Adebayo, 21; Moses, 25; and Qudus, 25; whose addresses were not provided, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
They pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Insp Benedict Aigbokhan, told the court that the defendants committed the offences with others still at large on Jan. 13, at 8:45 p.m. at Jakande Estate Bus Stop, Ejigbo, Lagos.
Aigbokhan said that the defendants accosted the complainant, Mr. Olamilekan Popoola, harassed him and stole his iPhone.

He said that the complainant reported the case to the police and the defendants were later arrested.
Aigbokhan said that the offences contravened sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Section 287 stipulates three years imprisonment for stealing, while Section 411 provides two years for conspiracy.
The Magistrate, Mr. E. O. Ogunkanmi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N200,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
Ogunkanmi ordered that the sureties must be gainfully employed and show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
He adjourned the case until Feb. 2 for mention. (NAN)
