25-year-old Chidinma Leilani Aaron Crowned 2018 Miss Nigeria

Twenty-five year old Chidinma Leilani Aaron has emerged winner of the 2018 Miss Nigeria beauty pageant.

She takes home N3 million, a luxury apartment and an automobile.

The grand finale of the pageant took place on Sunday, November 25, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

Understandably, beauties were on parole.

The show was hosted by media personalities, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Kaylah Oniwo while the red carpet was hosted by Ex- Bbnaija housemate, Tobi Bakre.

Prior to the show, the organisers had revealed the judges who would assess, evaluate and decide who wears the Miss Nigeria 2018 crown. The judges included: Richard Mofe Damijo, Rita Dominic, Fade Ogunro, Jasmine Tukur, David Wej, Grace Uredi, Tatiana Mousali and Konye Nwabogor.

At the commencement of the show, the eighteen contestants took to the stage to showcase their first outfits before they were pruned to 12 finalists.

The top 12 finalists were Ntan Nton, Egede Lagele, Thomas Mseve, Ameh Munirah, Otunba Ifunaya, and Shitta Remilekun.

Others are Tizhe Usa Miriam, Okudili Odinaka Doris, Agida Stephanie, Ugwu Ijeoma, Aaron Chidinma Leilani, and Dunu Chisom Olivia.

After the emergence of the top 12, the judges selected the top five namely Dunu Chisom, Ntan Sharon Nton, Ameh Munirah, Agida Stephanie and Aaron Chidinma Leilani.

After answering some questions from the judges, Ameh emerged the second runner-up while Dunu was named the first runner-up.

Chidinma Aaron was announced winner of the pageant and takes over the crown from Mildred Ehiguese who won the 2017 edition.

In the 2018 edition, the organisers decided that there will be no registration fee for the pageant in a bid to be all-inclusive and “to prevent financial restraints on the part of young ladies who are truly deserving of the ultimate title.”
