My priority now is to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party returns to power in 2019, former President Goodluck Jonathan has said.
He made the declaration on Wednesday when one of the chairmanship candidates of the party, Chief Olabode George, visited him in Bayelsa State.
Jonathan said he took responsibility for the loss the party suffered in the last presidential election and would do everything possible to get the Presidency back.
He said he was already working with some stakeholders to ensure that the ambition of regaining the Presidency became a reality.

“My priority now is how to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party regains the presidency in 2019… The only thing that will make me sleep well is to ensure that the PDP comes back to power.”
Speaking earlier, Bode George congratulated Jonathan on his 60th birthday.
He charged him to help put the party back in government.
