The Akwa Ibom State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nsima Ekere, on Wednesday told the people of Oro to choose any developmental project and his government will execute it if elected governor.

Addressing the people of Oron as he continued his Campaign rally in the area, Ekere told the people that whatever project they desired in the area would be given priority attention once he assumes office as Governor.

“I came with a notebook and pen. Oro name what you want me to do for you in the next four years when you vote me in as your next governor,” Ekere said.

Acknowledging the commendations showered on him by Oro people for attracting developmental projects to the area during his tenure as Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, the governorship candidate said what he did in the area was just a tip of the iceberg compared to the plans he has for them if he becomes the governor.

He decried the politicisation of Ibaka Deep Seaport project, which he said only existed on the pages of newspapers, assuring the people of Oro that if he emerges as governor he would do everything possible to ensure full actualization of the project.

He restated his promise to build an industrial city around the Ibom Deep Seaport to enhance economic activities in the area.

Ekere equally promised to as a matter of urgency ensure that the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, is truly recognized as a Maritime University.

He assured that his government would ensure immediate payment of promotion arrears, pension and gratuities to both serving and retired civil servants respectively and called on the people not to waste their votes for any other party but to vote for all APC candidates.
