2019: Keyamo appointed Buhari’s campaigns spokesman

Human right activist and lawyer, Mr. Festus Keyamo, has been appointed the spokesman of the President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation.

The appointment is contained in a letter addressed to the lawyer and titled Appointment as Director, Strategic Communication.

It is dated April 16, 2018.

In the letter signed by its Director General, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, the organisation stated that Keyamo would be the spokesperson.

The letter reads: “I am pleased to convey to you the decision of the President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation to appoint you as Director, Strategic Communications in respect of the forthcoming campaigns for the 2019 Presidential Elections…

“In your capacity, you are to be the Spokesperson for the campaigns during the nomination process and also the subsequent campaigns for the 2019 Presidential Elections.”

It would be recalled that Buhari formally declared his intention to seek re-election into office of the president on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the meeting of the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, held in Abuja.
