The people of Ikot-Ekpene Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State have declared their support for the second term bid of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Similarly, they expressed their confidence in the Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, and assured him of their total support for another term.
The adoption of the two political leaders in the state was declared at a special event to that effect at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium.
The adoption of the two politicians followed the motion by the Leader of the State House of Assembly, Sir Udo Kerian Akpan.
In the motion, he stated that the people were pleased with the politicians following their remarkable achievements in the development of the state and the people.
The motion was seconded by the Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Ekpenyong.
Speaking, the chairman on the occasion and former Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Chris Ekpenyong, described Governor Udom Emmanuel as the worthy leader and son-in-law.

He praised Governor Udom Emmanuel for his brilliance, describing him as a strategic planner, strategic thinker and strategic leader.
He said he had worked enough to deserve a second term.
While speaking on the endorsement of Godswill Akpabio, Ekpenyong said with the two political leaders, Ikot-Ekpene would benefit immensely.
Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien also spoke at the occasion.
He said despite the economic challenges in the country, Emmanuel was able to make things work in the state.
Obong Eno Akpan a former House of Representatives member spoke for the people of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency.
He said the people of the area would vote for the two politicians for second term.
