The Registrar, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Prof. Segun Ajiboye, has said that over 17,000 teachers would be writing its qualifying professional examination in October.
Speaking with newsmen at Ibadan on Monday, Ajiboye, noted that the educational system in the country needed to be cleansed to rid it of quacks posing as teachers.
According to him, only those who are qualified, registered and licensed will be allowed to teach in the country.
