COVID-19: Nigeria Confirms 20 New Cases

Nigeria has recorded 20 new cases of coronavirus.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced the new cases on Monday.
With the new cases, Nigeria now has a total of 131 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Lagos still has the highest number of cases which stood at 81 with Abuja following with 25 cases.

“Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, 4 in FCT, 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo State

“As at 09:00p.m 30th March there are 131 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 2 deaths.”

The numbers as at 09:00p.m March 30, are as follows:

131 confirmed cases
2 deaths
Lagos- 81
FCT- 25
Ogun- 3
Enugu- 2
Ekiti- 1
Oyo- 8
Edo- 2
Bauchi- 2
Osun-2
Rivers-1
Benue- 1
Kaduna- 3

Meanwhile, the lockdown on the Lagos and Abuja kicked off on Monday by 11p.m while the order will now take effect in Ogun State from Friday, April 3.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the cessation of all movement in Lagos and Abuja due to the cases of coronavirus cases in both areas.

He also ordered a lockdown in Ogun as a result of its proximity to Lagos.
