The 7th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), which took place Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, ended on a good note.
The event, which was well attended witnessed glitz and glamour at the highest level. To bring the show to its feverish pitch, a new category known as “Best Dressed Male and Female,” was added.
Amina Abdi Rabar and Ik Osakioduwa were the host of the star-studded event.
Leading the night was ‘Living in Bondage’ with a total of 7 wins including Best Overall movie. ‘God Calling’ followed closely with 2 wins. While ‘King of Boys’ which had many nominations but did not win any award.
The industry merit award went to seasoned TV and filmmaker, Peter Igho.
For the special category, the Best Dressed Male and Female went to former housemates of Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem Gang, Mike Edwards and Mercy Eke respectively.
