Killing Of Remo Stars Footballer: IG Orders DIG FCID To Take Over Investigations

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has directed the Deputy Inspector General of Police in-charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), DIG Anthony Ogbizi, to over investigations into the death of Tiamiyu Kazeem.

Kazeem, until his unfortunate death at the hands of SARS operatives on February 22, was the assistant captain of Remo Stars Football Club.

Kazeem was allegedly pushed out of a moving car by the SARS operatives at Sagamu on Saturday and was hit by an uncoming vehicle.

A short statement issued by the Force PRO, DSP Frank Mba said the IG while commiserating with the family and friends of the deceased, called for calm and assured that justice would be done in the matter.

The IG reiterated that any person found culpable would be brought to book.
