Reports emerging from the Ijegun area of Satellite town, Lagos State, suggest that there has been an explosion in the area.
However, while some reports of the incident on social media suggest a pipeline explosion, others say it is a tanker explosion.
Twitter comments and reaction say the explosion has caused panic within the vicinity with many running for their life.
Footages on social media show the flames and people scampering in all directions in a bid to run away from the flames.
The cause of the explosion in Ijegun was not known as at the time of filing this report. It was also not known if there were casualties.
