Flying Eagles of Nigeria, on Friday opened their Under-20 FIFA World Cup campaign by thrashing Qatar 4-0 in their Group D match at Tychy.

The boys got their rhythm early in the game with Maxwell Effiom opening the scores for Nigeria in the 12th minute.

Henry Offia followed a few minutes later with the second goal for the Nigerian side.

Though the second half of the game started on a low tempo, the Flying Eagles again found their opponents net for the third in the 67th minute.

This time it was Dele-Bashiru who slotted in the goal.

Aliu Salawudeen scored the 4th goal in the 74th minute to wrap the victory.
