The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the Central States of the country on Thursday morning with isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Minna, Bida and West of Niger State.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook issued by its Central Forecast Office on Wednesday in Abuja also predicted prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Yola, Bauchi, Jos, Kaduna and Mambilla Plateau later in the day.

It added that the region would have day and night temperatures in the range of 24 to 31 and 17 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy morning over most cities with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Enugu, Abakaliki, Kogi East and their environs.

It also predicted thunderstorms over the inland cities and rains over the coastal cities in the afternoon and evening with day and night temperatures of 28 to 31 and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, northern states will experience prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Sokoto, Katsina and Kano in the morning.

 “In the afternoon, places like Maiduguri, Yobe, Nguru and environs will have chances of isolated thunderstorms with day and night temperatures of 20 to 32 and 20 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.

“There are prospects of more isolated thunderstorms and rains over most places in the country in the next 24 hours,’’ NiMet predicted.
